BC's Rakim Sanders Scores 20 Points & Grabs 10 Rebounds In Win At Virginia

Pawtucket, RI native Rakim Sanders had what might have been his best game of the season last night in BC's 80-70 victory over Virginia, via Boston Herald Sports:

Rakim Sanders had a big game for BC (18-6, 6-3 ACC), scoring 20 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Sanders and Tyrese Rice helped the Eagles jump out to a double-digit lead thanks to a 25-5 first-half run.

“Rakim is obviously physically, probably as gifted as any 2-guard in the league,” Skinner said. “And when he decides to make up his mind that he wants the ball and he wants to make a presence, particularly on the interior, I’m not sure if there are many guards in this league that can stop that.”
Sounds like Coach Skinner thinks Rakim should start taking the ball into the post and driving to the basket more often. I have to agree since Rakim's outside shooting is still a little spotty at this point in his college career. Nice to see Rakim performing well though.
